Answers to common questions about European vehicle repair, maintenance, diagnostics and scheduling at our Springdale shop.
We offer a nationwide warranty for 12 months or 12,000 miles, whichever comes first. If a covered problem occurs within 100 miles of our shop, warranty work must be performed at our facility. For a covered problem outside that range, call us so we can explain the nationwide warranty process and help connect you with a participating facility. Performance parts and customer-supplied parts are excluded. Abuse, racing, off-road use and other exclusions also apply. The warranty is non-transferable and applies to the original purchaser.
Follow the vehicle manufacturer’s mileage-based and time-based maintenance schedule. European vehicles often have service requirements that depend on both mileage and elapsed time, so we recommend reviewing the schedule for your specific year and model.
Many modern vehicles use brake-pad wear sensors that trigger a dashboard warning. Some pads may also make an audible warning as they wear. We recommend inspecting the braking system during regular service intervals rather than waiting for a warning or noise.
Use quality fuel that meets the manufacturer’s requirements, pay attention to gauges and warning lights, check for fluid leaks, and stop driving if the vehicle is overheating. It is also wise to check the engine-oil level regularly because some European manufacturers allow measurable oil consumption between services.
No. We source the parts we install so we can verify fit, quality and compatibility, reduce delays caused by incorrect or defective components, and provide the warranty coverage that applies to qualifying repairs. Customer-supplied parts are not part of our normal repair workflow.
Ozark Import Specialists has focused on European automobiles since 1975. Our ASE-certified technicians use European-focused diagnostic equipment, technical information and specialized tooling, and qualifying repairs are backed by a nationwide warranty.
Yes. An early-bird drop-off slot is available between the two front doors, and a secure lock-box process is available for after-hours pickup when arranged with the shop.
Whenever practical, we use OEM or OES components. OEM parts are sold under the vehicle manufacturer’s brand. OES parts are made by original-equipment suppliers and may provide the same specification and quality without the vehicle-brand packaging. The exact part choice depends on the repair, availability and what is appropriate for the vehicle.
Modern European vehicles can reveal additional problems during disassembly. Heat-aged plastic parts may break when disturbed, hidden leaks or damage can become visible only after components are removed, and some repairs require programming, calibration or additional testing before the vehicle can be returned to service. We communicate with you when the scope of the repair changes.
Yes. Proper diagnosis takes technician time, European-focused scan equipment, technical information and hands-on testing. A warning light can be caused by wiring, sensors, modules, software, mechanical faults or previous repairs. Diagnostic time helps us identify the cause before recommending parts.
European vehicles often use engineering, electronics, service procedures and diagnostic systems that differ from general-market vehicles. A shop that works with these systems every day is better positioned to diagnose the vehicle efficiently, use appropriate parts and service information, and reduce unnecessary parts replacement.
Yes. Please call 479-751-0800 or use the appointment request form in advance. The requested time is a vehicle drop-off time and does not guarantee the exact time a technician will begin work. If the vehicle is overheating, will not run or is otherwise undriveable, call us rather than using the form.
Our workflow is focused on modern daily-driven vehicles. We generally do not service classic vehicles or vehicles more than 20 years old because parts availability and age-related issues can make those projects incompatible with the needs of our regular-service customers.
European expertise. Local accountability.
