A Small Crossroads Community Became Part of the NWA Corridor
Lowell’s scale has changed enormously within the lifetime of Ozark Import Specialists. The city had just 1,078 residents in the 1980 U.S. Census and 9,839 by 2020.
Long before that growth, the community was known as Robinson’s Cross Roads and later Bloomington; local history also remembers the muddy Old Wire Road era that earned the area the nickname “Mudtown.” Today Lowell is tied directly into the fast-moving Northwest Arkansas corridor, a very different setting from the small community our early customers would have known.
