Our history
A European Repair Shop Born in a Much Smaller Northwest Arkansas
Ozark Import Specialists began in 1975 when the Vining family opened a small Volkswagen repair shop in Springdale to fill a local need for imported-car service.
The region looked very different then. Much of the land around the shop was still open, and early work centered on air-cooled Volkswagen Bugs, Buses, Squarebacks and Notchbacks, along with air-cooled Porsches driven by local residents and University of Arkansas students and faculty.
As Northwest Arkansas changed, so did the cars. The shop expanded its training, tools and experience into Audi, BMW, Jaguar, Land Rover, Mercedes-Benz, Porsche, water-cooled Volkswagen, Volvo and selected exotic and modern import vehicles.
What has not changed

The technology is different from 1975, but the basic responsibility is the same: understand the vehicle, diagnose it carefully and treat the customer fairly.

A Local Alternative for Modern European Vehicles
Luxury and performance vehicles require specialized knowledge, correct procedures, diagnostic tools and high-quality parts. We built the shop around that reality.
Our technicians service modern European cars and SUVs for drivers throughout Bentonville, Lowell, Rogers, Springdale, Fayetteville and the surrounding Northwest Arkansas region. Whenever possible, repairs use OEM or OES components selected for the correct fit and specification.
We want customers to have a competent independent alternative where the recommendation is driven by the vehicle’s condition—not by pressure to buy work that is not needed.
